🐾 Tuckahoe Tigers Are Making a Difference! Upcoming Veterans Appreciation Events 🐾

Dear Tuckahoe Families,

Thanks to the incredible generosity and support of our students, families, faculty, and community, we have officially reached our $4,000 school-wide fundraising goal for Paws of War! ❤️🤍💙

We are beyond grateful for everyone's contributions to this meaningful cause. Your kindness and generosity will help Paws of War continue its mission of "Supporting Both Ends of the Leash," making a difference in the lives of veterans, first responders, and the animals who support them.

As we prepare to celebrate Veterans Day, our Veterans Appreciation Committee has several exciting events and traditions coming up!

❤️Wear RED, Show Your Support, and Remember Our Heroes! ❤️
Wear Red Fridays in November starting on the 6th. We Invite all parents, students, and staff to show their support by wearing RED every Friday throughout the month of November! Let's come together, show our pride and support for all the military that are deployed defending our country!

🕙 10:00 a.m. | Tuckahoe Front Lawn

We invite our Tuckahoe families and community members to join us for our 4th Annual Field of Flags Ceremony, a special tradition honoring the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.

This meaningful ceremony brings our school community together to recognize the sacrifices of our veterans and express our gratitude for their service. Please wear red, white, and blue!

Our Tuckahoe Tigers will lace up their sneakers and hit the field for our first-ever Paws on the Run Fun Run!

Although we've already reached our fundraising goal, we're excited to celebrate our students' efforts and continue showing our support for Paws of War!

Students should remember to wear comfortable clothing, sneakers, and bring a water bottle.

A promise is a promise! 😂

Our Tigers rose to the challenge, and now it's time to celebrate! Because we reached our $4,000 fundraising milestone, Mrs. Terry will be taped to the wall on Tuesday, November 10!

We can't wait to celebrate this fun-filled reward with our students. A huge thank you to Mrs. Terry for being such a great sport and supporting our fundraising efforts!

Our Hallway of Heroes display is already underway, and we are looking forward to filling our hallways with photographs, stories, and tributes honoring the veterans and active-duty service members who hold a special place in our Tuckahoe families' hearts.

📬 Families, please keep those tribute papers coming! If you haven't submitted your child's Hallway of Heroes sheet yet, there's still time to participate! We encourage every family to recognize a veteran or active-duty service member who has made a difference in their lives.

Our display will remain up throughout the entire month of November, giving our students and visitors an opportunity to honor and celebrate these incredible individuals.

What began four years ago as an initiative to honor our veterans has grown into a school-wide tradition of gratitude, service, and giving back.

These experiences are about so much more than fundraising. They are opportunities for our students to put Tuckahoe's motto of Pride, Respect and Responsibility into action while learning that even the smallest gestures can make a lasting difference.

Let's continue to Roar with Pride as we honor our heroes! 🐯🐾

With pride and gratitude,
