Welcome to the Grades 6–8 English Department!
Our English program is rooted in the Reading and Writing Workshop model, which fosters a love of reading and writing through student choice, authentic texts, and daily practice. Across grades 6 to 8, students develop their voices as writers and deepen their comprehension as readers through mini-lessons, independent work, and personalized feedback. We emphasize critical thinking, meaningful discussion, and the skills students need to become confident, thoughtful communicators.
