Dining Services

What is new in Tuckahoe food service?

As you are aware we have started off this year offering all of our Tuckahoe students daily breakfast and lunch free of charge.  This is part of a statewide program called the “Community Eligibility Provision”.   Our participation in this program helps us to ensure that our cafeteria will be able to continue to provide nutritious, well-balanced meals that comply with established nutritional standards by food service professionals trained and certified in food safely, allergy awareness, and homemade, minimally processed food preparation.

A healthy complete meal including milk, meat/meat alternative, fruit, vegetable, and grain is offered to each student free of charge at each meal.  However, ala carte items and second entrees are not free.  These items include bottled water, and extra entrée (pizza slice, sausage links, mac and cheese).

One of the regulations of this program is that students are no longer allowed to carry a negative balance when purchasing additional ala carte items.  Please make sure that your child has money on their account.  You may add funds using the LINQ Connect link below or you may send cash or check to the attention of the cafeteria or the business office.

Families are no longer required to fill out an application to receive these benefits, but it is helpful to the district if you do.  Income forms are available below. Completed applications may be submitted to Colleen McIntyre in the main office.
