October: Upcoming Events

Posted Date: 10/12/26 (11:20 AM)

Dear Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. First, I want to extend a huge thank you to our incredible PTO for hosting such a successful Scholastic Book Fair last week. Our students loved exploring the books, and we deeply appreciate the time and effort our volunteers dedicated to making this event a highlight of the season.
We have an exciting, event-filled few weeks ahead at our school. Please review the schedule below for upcoming activities, presentations, and special events:
Wednesday, October 14 – Hispanic Heritage Day
This Wednesday, our school-wide activities will honor this year's national theme, “Unidos, Somos Más” (Together, We Are More) to recognize the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.
  • Heritage Dress Day: Students are encouraged to participate by wearing clothing that reflects their personal cultural heritage or honors Hispanic and Latino cultures.
  • Themed Lunch: Our cafeteria team will serve a special lunch menu featuring traditional dishes.
Thursday, October 15 – Paws of War Presentation (Grades K-8)
Representatives from Paws of War will visit our school. This wonderful organization trains and places shelter dogs to serve and provide independence to U.S. military veterans suffering from the emotional effects of war.
Friday, October 16 – Fire Prevention Day (8:20 AM)
Our annual Fire Prevention Day will take place this Friday morning, rain or shine.
Wednesday, October 21 – Friday, October 23 – 8th Grade Outdoor Education
Our 8th-grade students will head out for their exciting multi-day Outdoor Education trip.
Tuesday, October 27 – Teddy Bear Clinic (Grades K–2)
Our students will participate in the Teddy Bear Clinic, a fun and comforting hands-on health awareness program.
Wednesday, October 28 – Trunk or Treat: Join us in the evening for our festive community Trunk or Treat event!
Friday, October 30 – Halloween Parade: More details to come.
Thank you for your continued partnership and enthusiasm in making our school a vibrant, inclusive environment for all students.

Happy fall!
