The Tuckahoe Common School District Board of Trustees has selected Eastern Suffolk BOCES to coordinate the search for a Superintendent of Schools. The Tuckahoe Board has planned a series of stakeholder engagement activities to assist in its decision making. The selection of a Superintendent of Schools is one of the most important decisions that a Board of Trustees makes. The Board would like your input in making the best decision possible on behalf of the school district and the children you serve. At the request of the Tuckahoe Board of Trustees, David Wicks, ESBOCES Chief Operating Officer, will be meeting with you in person on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in the school library at 5:30 p.m. to give you an opportunity to express the skills and characteristics you believe the new Superintendent of Schools should possess, and the short-term and long-term issues that the new Superintendent of Schools will need to address. This meeting will provide valuable information for the Board to use in the process of selecting a new leader for the school district. It is suggested that you prepare for the meeting by reflecting upon the questions found on the attached forms, Profile of the New Superintendent of Schools and Priorities of the School District I look forward to meeting with you on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
