Welcome to middle school social studies.  Grade six explores the Eastern Hemisphere.  Grades seven and eight study American history.    Classes are fast paced and informative, to prepare students for high school.  Lessons are aligned with the New York State Social Studies Standards and Framework, the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards for Literacy in History/Social Studies, the National Council for the Social Studies Standards, and the C3 Framework for Social Studies State Standards.  The courses focus on cultivating informed, creative, and responsible twenty-first century learners.
